Christine Hoang

For seven years, Christine worked as an intellectual property attorney in Silicon Valley while serving on the Board of API Legal Outreach. Christine began volunteering as an attorney at API Legal Outreach, practicing family and immigration law, and eventually managed the agency’s immigration team and pro bono practice. Christine also worked at Tahirih Justice Center, representing survivors of gender-based violence in claims for humanitarian immigration relief.
Christine Hoang was born in Dalat, Vietnam and immigrated to the U.S. with her mother and younger sister in 1973. Christine received a bachelor in science degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and spent a year in Paris at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques. Christine graduated from Berkeley Law and has been licensed to practice in California since 1993.

Christine has trained pro bono attorneys and community advocates and managed monthly immigration clinics through UC Hastings and the Asian American Bar Association. Christine also worked at Tahirih Justice Center, representing survivors of gender-based violence in claims for humanitarian immigration relief. At Jubilee, Christine continues to represent survivors of domestic violence and other violent crimes in seeking humanitarian forms of immigration relief.
