A Bigger Imagination

Inspired. I've been reflecting on what has and continues to inspire me. It's generally not charisma or heroics. Rather, I'm inspired by ordinary people who make everyday choices to love, forgive and extend mercy. Like the church community that our family shared life with for over two decades, the same community that was instrumental in birthing Jubilee eight years ago. They challenged me to be curious and to ask better questions. To have a bigger imagination for the wholeness and shalom that our Creator invites us to envision and live into in our everyday. As we work. Raise our kids. Grieve illness, war and death. And when I feel overwhelmed by the work of leading a growing organization and advocating for my immigrant clients, I return to the inspiration of our Jubilee vision: Our well-being is intertwined with the well-being of our immigrant neighbors. May you find soulful inspiration and hope in your everyday.
